I’m yet to listen to a single song on Kanye West‘s record-breaking 10th studio album, Donda, which he named after and in memory of his late mother, Donda C. West—but I don’t think I will listen to it since Kim Kardashian has already reviewed the album by listening to it on mute. If Kim, who is reportedly working things out to reconcile with Kanye doesn’t want to disturb her earlobe with the album, why should I? My earlobe matters to me.
Despite Kanye West naming his 10th studio album after his mother, he chose to sideline her and projected his estranged wife, Kim Kardashian aka incoming ex-wife in a couple of the songs on the Donda album. Kim must have cast a spell on Kanye. In one of the songs titled “Hurricane”, Ye sort of admitted to cheating on Kim after they welcomed their first two kids, North and Saint. It now makes sense why she filed for divorce.
PageSix says that an insider told the portal that the “Hurricane” song was inspired by whatever Kanye did wrong in his marriage with Kim Kardashian and also take full responsibility for his actions. Kanye in the song sort of confessed to seeing another woman behind Kim. Could this woman be Irina Shayk? I’m just asking since Ye is capable of doing anything.
The insider adds that “The song is in a way his testimony of everything he did wrong and taking accountability for their marriage breakdown”. Here is the part in the song that got everyone thinking and speculating that Kanye cheated on his future ex-wife, Kim Kardashian.
“Here I go actin’ too rich / Here I go with a new chick / And I know what the truth is / Still playin’ after two kids / It’s a lot to digest when your life always movin’.”
According to PageSix’s source, the “new chick” Kanye talked about in the above-mentioned line isn’t in reference to his alleged affair with Irina. He’s obviously talking about someone we’ve got no idea of.
The insider continues that “If you look closer to the lyrics, he is referring to his infidelity during his marriage with Kim, even after two kids”. Kanye West surely went extreme in this song because, in another part, he talked about not going to their multimillion-dollar mansion and also battling with alcohol abuse.
There he goes;
“Architectural Digest, but I needed home improvement / Sixty-million-dollar home, never went home to it,” he raps of his struggling marriage. “Genius gone clueless, it’s a whole lot to risk / Alcohol anonymous, who’s the busiest loser?”
Kim Kardashian officially filed for divorce in February 2021 but it doesn’t seem the couple will continue going back and forth with their messy divorce as they are reportedly working on getting back together. Why do I have a feeling that this whole divorce thing was a big stunt to get us talking about Ye and Kim ahead of his Donda album release?
If the divorce was a stunt then it surely got us and worked perfectly for them. Here is the official audio of “Hurricane”.
